Courtney Branch is a second-year Resident Pharmacist at the Royal Hobart Hospital, currently completing the final rotation of her two-year residency program. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Tasmania and undertook her internship at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2022, where she has continued to work as a hospital pharmacist. Throughout her residency, Courtney has gained experience across a diverse range of clinical and operational areas, including Compounding and Cancer Services, cardiothoracic surgery, renal and gastroenterology, and most recently emergency medicine. Her residency has also provided opportunities to undertake a six-week specialist backfill in perioperative medicine and complete a quality improvement project examining catheter lock prescribing and administration practices in haemodialysis patients. Courtney has particular interests in emergency medicine, intensive care and haematology/oncology, and hopes to pursue a specialist pharmacist role following completion of her residency.
