Brenda Shum FANZCAP (Lead&Mgmt) is the Service Co-Director - Medical Division at Royal Perth Bentley Group, in Western Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), majoring in Pharmacology; Bachelor of Pharmacy; Master of Business Administration (Health Management); and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has worked in multiple clinical and operational areas in tertiary settings, with over 15 years in various management roles. Her professional interests include bridging the transition of care between hospital and primary care settings, expanding the scope of pharmacy practice to optimise patient outcomes, and moving the profession towards a future where pharmacy practitioners are recognised as being an essential element of interdisciplinary care teams, whenever, and wherever, medicines are used.
